Juliet Silveira is an artist-educator whose work bridges studio practice, community building, and research-based pedagogy. Holding a BFA in Painting from Pratt Institute and an MA in Education Research from Moreland University, she creates expressive portraits, surrealistic paintings, and site-specific murals while developing programming that integrates visual arts with wellness and deep learning. Guided by Self-Determination Theory, her teaching practice cultivates student autonomy, competence, and meaningful connection. Juliet has led collaborative mural projects, designed artist-led community programming, and developed curriculum that positions creative expression as a tool for identity development and civic engagement. As a mother of four and Capoeira practitioner, she brings a holistic, internationally-minded approach to education that honors diverse learning styles and cultural perspectives.
